Job summary

C.A. Short Company is seeking a Receiving and Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee all receiving, inventory control, and put-away activities.

The role requires leadership of warehouse personnel, accuracy in transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and ongoing use of barcode scanning technology to maintain inventory integrity. Responsibilities include training, cycle counting, reporting, and collaboration with Purchasing, Operations, and Client Services to optimize inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in receiving, warehouse, or distribution operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily receiving and inventory control operations.
• Supervise Receiving Clerks and provide necessary training.
• Coordinate with carriers regarding deliveries and damaged freight decisions.
• Inspect merchandise on receipt to verify quality and accuracy.
• Generate reports and reconcile inventory quantities.
• Manage all inventory transactions and ensure real-time updates in the ERP.
• Lead cycle counts, weekly routines, and annual physical inventories.
• Maintain barcode scanning processes and warehouse layout accuracy.
• Train staff on Business Central, scanning procedures, and SOPs.
• Support warehouse technology implementations and process improvements.
