Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, laboratory setting, some PPE (personal protective equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.), and will work with hazardous/toxic materials.

Location/Division Specific Information

Position located in West Point, PA. Unity Lab Services provides integrated lab service, support, and supply management, addressing our customer’s laboratory needs with customized services and expert support.

Key Responsibilities

• Use inventory/order management systems for activities like replenishments, disbursements, receiving, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, and customer service resolution.
• Deliver chemical packages within a laboratory environment.
• Sustain and maintain chemical stockroom inventory.
• Pickup hazardous waste.
• Follow written work processes.
• Address customer concerns proactively and communicate with supervisors.
• Engage in process improvement activities.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.

1-2 years relevant experience, preferably in a laboratory setting or services.

Validated customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Fluent in English with excellent communication and professional appearance.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and use various systems, with analytical report reconciliation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and organizational skills for multi-tasking.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites, potentially in environments with chemical allergens.
• Willingness to wear PPE such as lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 30-50 pounds using equipment like carts and forklifts.
