Job description

The SC Inventory Control Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records within a company's supply chain. They will oversee inventory management processes under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager. Manage communication of sub products and assist oversight of sub inventory levels. Assist as needed the PAR Project Management Team. Manage the stock review and pull for recalled items.

Essential Job Statements

  • Under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager - will facilitate redistribution of constrained product across the downtown campus (Main and CHoR Tower).

  • Assist with removal of recalled products and recording lot and qty information for completion of the recall forms. Recall inventory packaging for return to vendor.

  • Assist the PAR Project Management Team during large conversions and large-scale new builds. Work with the team during par optimization reviews.

  • Serves as the point of contact for the downtown team to identify potential constrained products that likely will stock-out.

  • Assist in review of expired products in STAT and CHoR perpetual locations and make recommendations of stock level adjustments.

  • Utilize ERP for supply ordering and PAR maintenance.

  • Responsible for auditing cycle counts and training on cycle counts

  • Recognize and work process improvement opportunities throughout Supply Chain and the OR materials teams.

  • Responsible to communicate to the downtown team an awareness to substitution products that will be in the environment and will assist in oversight and review of substitute stock/product inventory

  • Ensure responsibility and visible commitment of diversity equity and inclusion programs/initiatives through collaboration and implementation of initiatives across the health system.

Required Education:

High School diploma or GED

Preferred Education:

An associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications

Years and Type of Required Experience

2+ years supply chain experience required.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.

Good communication skills are also essential for interacting with vendors, clients, and internal teams

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

Previous healthcare supply chain experience with stocking, inventory, and control of supplies.
Previous inventory control experience with medical and surgical supplies in a surgical, perioperative, or medical procedure environment.
