Job summary

Airtronics is a leading HVAC and clean heat solutions company seeking a warehouseInventory control specialist in New York. You will maintain accurate counts, locations, and stock levels for HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies, while performing cycle counts and assisting with full physical inventories.

You’ll investigate discrepancies, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely reorders to support field installations and service calls.

Qualifications

• Must have strong organizational and accuracy focus with inventory control
• Experience with cycle counts and physical inventories
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software
• Ability to coordinate with field teams and dispatch for smooth operations
• Comfortable lifting up to 80 pounds and operating warehouse equipment

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory counts, locations, and stock levels for HVAC equipment and parts
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts
• Investigate discrepancies and correct records to maintain accuracy
• Monitor stock levels and communicate reorder needs
• Receive and inspect shipments and verify against orders
• Enter incoming equipment into the inventory system
• Process returns and warranty items per procedures
• Organize and label warehouse inventory for quick access
• Prepare inventory for installations and service calls
• Safely operate pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse
• Coordinate with field technicians and dispatch on availability and priorities
• Maintain documentation for handoffs between warehouse and field operations

Your New Role

• Maintain accurate inventory counts, locations, and stock levels for HVAC equipment, replacement parts, materials, and supplies

• Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts

• Investigate inventory discrepancies and correct records to maintain dependable stock accuracy

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock and reorder needs before shortages affect scheduled HVAC installations or service calls

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and condition against purchase orders and packing slips

• Accurately enter incoming equipment and materials into the inventory management system

• Process returns, warranty items, and defective inventory according to established procedures

• Organize, label, and store warehouse inventory so equipment and materials can be located quickly

• Pick, stage, and prepare HVAC equipment, parts, and materials for installations, service calls, and field team pickups

• Safely operate pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious warehouse

• Assist with general facility upkeep as needed

• Coordinate with field technicians, dispatch, supervisors, and other team members regarding equipment availability, deliveries, shortages, and job priorities

• Maintain accurate warehouse, inventory, receiving, and logistics documentation to support smooth handoffs between warehouse and field operations

• Prior experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, material handling, or a related role

• HVAC, construction, skilled trades, or similar industry experience preferred

• Experience using inventory management systems, barcode scanners, ERP software, or warehouse management software

• Strong organizational skills with close attention to inventory accuracy and detail

• Comfortable performing cycle counts, tracking quantities, and completing basic inventory reporting

• Ability to regularly lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 80 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Ability to safely use pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and similar warehouse equipment

• Valid driver's license and good driving record preferred, as occasional local driving may be required

• Basic mechanical aptitude or familiarity with HVAC equipment and materials is a plus

• Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with warehouse, operations, dispatch, and field service teams

• Willingness to contribute wherever needed to keep warehouse and field operations moving efficiently
