Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to support inventory accuracy in our Distribution Center. You will perform counting, data maintenance, and audits while ensuring adherence to processes and procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, math and data entry skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have good math, problem-solving and data entry skills and attention to detail, and effective organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be able to count inventory and research issues using basic computer skills (Word/Excel).
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Support the inventory process in the Distribution Center through counting and auditing of outgoing orders and data maintenance.
• Coordinate with Buying, Accounting, Shipping, Receiving, Transportation, System Administration, carriers, and vendors to ensure accurate inventory.
• Prepare inventory reports and verify balances in the Warehouse Management System to identify shortages and discrepancies.
• Assist in monitoring slotting and warehouse layout to optimize efficiency.
• Handle short-dated inventory, aged inventory, damage and salvage product.
