Job summary

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is seeking an Operations Administrative Assistant and inventory control coordinator.

This role handles cash, onboarding, and inventory support, with lifting 30-80 pounds and working on a tire rack system up to 25' high. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities include mail screening, onboarding, deposits, and COD handling.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus 1 year administrative/office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Screening mail, maintaining COD files and records.
  • Generate general correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding.
  • Assist with team member's system logins.
  • Verify Driver collection bags.
  • May assist with covering dispatch and will call; including breaks and lunches.
  • Daily deposits, collect past due accounts, and assist with clearing CODs.
  • Maintain office and cleaning supplies.
  • Moderate housekeeping of office and breakroom.
  • Assist with planning company activities (wellness fairs, job fairs, facility events).
  • Run errands and daily bank runs for deposits.
  • Assist with inventory and ECOMM needs.
  • Adhere to all company policies and ethics codes.
  • May travel to other sites for training and observation.
  • Duties may include other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Position Summary

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. The Operations Administrative Assistant and inventory control coordinator performs varied duties such as cash handling, facility filing, personnel onboarding, and support the operation directed by management. Must be able to follow procedures with minimal direction and work independently, utilizing professional judgment and interpersonal skills. This position will also be responsible for working with inventory control for our tire stock. This includes lifting and moving tires that weigh 30-80 pounds and working on a lift with our tire racking system that goes up to 25' high. Attention to detail with numbers and strong organizational skills are necessary. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be qualified as to visual, auditory, physical, and mental ability to operate equipment safely with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee must frequently lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Occasionally exert a pushing force up to 40 pounds. Handling of commercial tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) conduct team lifts or use mechanical equipment. Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, safety harness , seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots. All team members must be able to adhere with safety and manufacture guidelines for compliant use of all protective equipment. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.

Qualifications
  • A high school graduate plus 1 year administrative/office experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Data Entry and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to use office equipment including, but not limited to: copiers, scanners, computers, projector, etc.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures
  • Basic math knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Successfully pass a pre- employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
