Job summary

U.S. AutoForce in Springfield, MO is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee a work group, coordinate daily deliveries, and ensure safety and efficiency across receiving, stocking, loading, and returns.

You will lead interviews, training, and performance reviews, enforce policies, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining high customer service standards. The position offers $26-28/hr, weekly pay, comprehensive healthcare, a 401(k) with match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and

  • 3 years of related experience
  • Supervise assistant receivers and helpers
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems
  • Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice
  • Good memory and scanning abilities
  • Good communication and math skills
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis
  • Able to learn to use a forklift
  • May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
  • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
  • Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Assists with process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
  • Continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and communication.
  • Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately; Stock products correctly.
  • Loading: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries; Load trucks safely.
  • Returns: Inspect and count returned merchandise; Restock inventory; Paperwork for warranties; Unload transfers.
  • Operate power equipment, including forklift.
  • May work as backup driver.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm or until job is complete plus Saturdays rotation. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee and supervise a work group to meet department goals.

  • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
  • Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.

  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and communication
  • Receiving:
    • Check in product completely and accurately
    • Stock products correctly
  • Loading:
    • Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries
    • Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety
  • Returns:
    • Inspect and physically count returned merchandise
    • Restock inventory in appropriate place
    • Outbound freight of vender returns
    • Paperwork for all warranty product
    • Unloading of customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses
  • Operate power equipment, including fork-lift
  • May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel / composite toe boots.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Fumes associated with tires and occasionally car parts and lubricants prevalent.
