Job summary

System One is seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Assistant in Parlin, NJ, for a temp-to-hire opportunity. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with an hourly rate of $20–$22 based on experience.

Responsibilities include inventory cycle counts, bin sorting, stocking, filing, data entry into ERP, and assisting with AR/AP and invoicing. Strong math, basic computer skills, and no remote work are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework preferred.
• At least six months of clerical or office/administrative support experience.
• Comfort with basic math calculations and reading a tape measure.
• Comfort with numbers and basic multiplication/division; working with feet/inches.
• Working computer skills including ERP (database) management and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Open to temp-to-hire work; no remote work.

Responsibilities

• Performs inventory cycle counts of finished products, supplies and materials.
• Sorts parts by sizes and stores them in appropriate bins.
• Stocks and replenishes items into inventory.
• Maintains an accurate and organized filing system.
• Uses a tape measure to document and label scrap materials.
• Files, copies, scans and assists with digital documents such as orders or invoicing.
• Assists with AR and AP data entry and journal entries.
• Enters data into the ERP system.
• Processes online orders and prints shipping labels for Production Crew.
• Collaborates with the Office Manager on tasks.
• Performs general administrative duties as needed.

Warehouse & Inventory Assistant Responsibilities:

• Preforms inventory cycle counts of finished product, supplies and materials
• Sorts parts by sizes and accurately stows in appropriate bins
• Stocks and replenishes items into inventory
• Maintains an accurate and organized filing system
• Uses tape measure to accurately document and label usable scrap (conveyor belt material)
• Helps file, copy, scan and helps prepare/create digital files & documents such as customer orders or invoicing (will be reviewed by coworker)
• Assists with AR and AP - enters data for invoicing and make journal entries as needed
• Assists with entering data into computerized ERP system
• Helps process online orders, prints shipping labels and work orders for Production Crew
• Works closely with Office Manager
• Perform administrative tasks, as needed.

Warehouse & Inventory Assistant Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, some college coursework or other related post-high school training preferred
• At least six (6) months of prior clerical or office/administrative support experience.
• Must be comfortable with basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying. Understanding basic fractions are a must (must be able to accurately read a tape measure)
• Must be comfortable working with numbers and accurate calculating basic multiplication and division. Feet, inches, etc.Must possess working computer skills & knowledge including ERP (database) management and MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong basic math skills
