Job summary

TIC_Craft is seeking an entry-level Onsite Warehouse Associate to support construction field activities from our Houston facility. You will perform daily warehouse duties, handle shipping and receiving, and help maintain inventory accuracy.

You will operate forklifts and use hand and power tools as required, ensuring safety and adherence to project rules in all weather conditions. overtime and weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with prior field experience.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position must be demonstrated.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control and tool issuance.
• Select and prepare daily shipments, pull orders, package, and complete freight/invoice paperwork.
• Palletize and wrap skids, deliver orders to designated areas or disciplines.
• Assist in loading and unloading items from trucks as needed.
• Inspect items for damage or shortages and identify incorrect shipments.
• Label and mark stock items with identification labels and stickers.
• Perform onsite warehouse inventories, restocking, and backorder filling.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies and document material shorts when required.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of shipping/receiving documents.
• Operate forklift or other equipment as needed.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Carry out day to day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping and receiving or products and materials, issuing tools, documentation and inventory control
• Selects and prepares daily shipments which may includes pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers
• Palletizes and wraps skids and delivers completed orders and packages to designated shipping area and/or deliver to disciplines
• Assists in loading trucks as necessary and unloads received items from trailers
• Examines and inspects items for damage and defects; identifies incorrect/short shipped items
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification labels and stickers
• Perform onsite Warehouse inventories, maintenance and restocking, fill backorders and product bins
• May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts
• Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time
• May operate forklift and other equipment – stand-up lift, sit-down lift, propane, scissor, etc

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess knowledge skills and abilities for position
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
