Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Texas is seeking a dedicated warehouse associate to support onsite material care, custody and control for construction field activities. You will handle daily warehouse tasks including shipping/receiving, inventory control, and documentation.

You will operate forklifts, assist with loading trucks, and conduct regular inventory checks while complying with safety rules. The role requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred with warehouse experience.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Selects and prepares daily shipments which may include pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers.
  • Palletizes and wraps skids and delivers completed orders to shipping area and/or to disciplines.
  • Assists in loading trucks and unloads received items from trailers.
  • Examines items for damage and defects; identifies incorrect/short shipped items.
  • Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items with identification labels.
  • Perform onsite warehouse inventories, maintenance and restocking, fill backorders.
  • May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts.
  • Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time.
  • May operate forklift and other equipment.

Perform onsite Material care, custody and control functions in support of construction field activities. Carry out day to day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping and receiving or products and materials, issuing tools, documentation and inventory control

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Selects and prepares daily shipments which may includes pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers
  • Palletizes and wraps skids and delivers completed orders and packages to designated shipping area and/or deliver to disciplines
  • Assists in loading trucks as necessary and unloads received items from trailers
  • Examines and inspects items for damage and defects; identifies incorrect/short shipped items
  • Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification labels and stickers
  • Perform onsite Warehouse inventories, maintenance and restocking, fill backorders and product bins
  • May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts
  • Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time
  • May operate forklift and other equipment – stand-up lift, sit-down lift, propane, scissor, etc
Qualifications
  • May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Able to meet all physical requirements.
  • Must have all required tools
  • Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
