Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an onsite Warehouse Associate in Abilene, TX to handle material care, custody, and control in support of field activities. The role includes shipping/receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, inspecting items, labeling stock, and maintaining accurate documents. A high school diploma and safety-minded attitude are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with experience in warehouse or related field.
• Must understand, follow, and convey written and verbal instructions to management.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Selects and prepares daily shipments, including pulling orders and completing freight/invoice paperwork.
• Palletizes, wraps, and delivers orders to shipping area or designated disciplines.
• Assists in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Inspects items for damage and discrepancies; identifies short/shipped items.
• Packs and marks stock items with identification labels.
• Performs onsite warehouse inventories, maintains stock, restocks, and fills backorders.
• Resolves inventory discrepancies and documents material shorts.
• Ensures shipping/receiving documents are completed correctly and on time.
• Operates forklift and other equipment as required.

Position Summary

Perform onsite Material care, custody and control functions in support of construction field activities. Carry out day to day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping and receiving or products and materials, issuing tools, documentation and inventory control

Experience Level

Primary Responsibilities And Duties

• Selects and prepares daily shipments which may includes pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers
• Palletizes and wraps skids and delivers completed orders and packages to designated shipping area and/or deliver to disciplines
• Assists in loading trucks as necessary and unloads received items from trailers
• Examines and inspects items for damage and defects; identifies incorrect/short shipped items
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification labels and stickers
• Perform onsite Warehouse inventories, maintenance and restocking, fill backorders and product bins
• May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts
• Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time
• May operate forklift and other equipment - stand-up lift, sit-down lift, propane, scissor, etc

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.

• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
