Job Description

As a Warehouse Group Leader (GL1) at Hoosier Racing Tire, you will be a floor-level process leader reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. Your role involves ensuring a safe work environment, quality work, and adherence to work procedures to meet warehousing goals.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Ensure employees use proper PPE and follow safety practices.
• Report safety issues to GL2 and assist in resolving them.
• Oversee loading and unloading processes, including inspections.
• Monitor product movement within the warehouse.
• Assist with work processes such as loading and off-loading.
• Communicate quality issues to GL2.
• Coordinate with GL2 on maintenance, building, and equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
• Lead by example with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Communicate effectively with department leaders.
• Follow daily task assignments from GL2.

Qualifications

Environmental Conditions

• Prioritize safety, including wearing safety gear.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment with temperature swings, forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
• Perform physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with training provided.

Requirements

• No active attendance warnings or safety write-ups.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).

Preferred

• Warehouse experience is preferred.
