Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. at the Lomar Distribution Center seeks a Warehouse Generalist for heavy lifting and order fulfillment. You will select merchandise using voice automation and pick-to-light systems, palletize for shipment, and ensure pallets are secure for store delivery.

The role requires safety‑minded performance, basic math skills, and the ability to follow simple instructions. Certified operation of pallet jacks, forklift, and stock picker may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet language/hearing capabilities for voice automated selection.
• Must follow one- or two-step instructions; routine tasks.
• Must perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers.
• Certified to operate pallet jacks, forklift, and stock picker.

Responsibilities

• Select orders using voice automated selection system and palletize for shipment.
• Select items via pick-to-light system as needed.
• Verify pallet stability and apply shrink-wrap.
• Stage orders and apply pallet IDs for loading.
• Perform daily safety inspection of power equipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized; attend meetings.
• Break down master cases and stage products.
