Job summary

Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. is seeking a gate control attendant to manage the entry and departure of containers and trailers at the facility gates. You will verify details, apply YMS transponders, collect IDs for live loads, and direct carriers to parking areas to ensure secure, orderly yard operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with about 1 year of related experience; travel is not required. A strong focus on safety and policy compliance is essential.

Responsibilities

• At the equipment control station, greets traffic arriving at gate, determines purpose and directs visitors to the appropriate area.
• Applies YMS transponders to containers/trailers that will remain in storage.
• When carrier is also picking up, obtains details and directs carriers to where the unit is parked.
• Gathers license plate and driver ID for live load pick up/delivery and enters into YMS.
• Upon departure, inspects unit to determine if full or empty and records in YMS.
• Maintains documentation and records in YMS; adheres to company policies.
