Job summary

Holman Logistics is seeking a Gate Attendant in Commerce, GA to monitor access points, verify deliveries, and enforce security procedures. The role requires alertness, strong communication, and the ability to follow procedures consistently.

You will greet visitors, log information, and coordinate with drivers to ensure smooth yard operations while maintaining safety and compliance across shifts. This position entails standing for long periods and exposure to outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a gate attendant, security officer, or a similar role.
• Preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with camera systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor all access points, verifying compliance and documentation for deliveries and outbounds.
• Escalate and report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances.
• Update the Yard Management System as required.
• Enforce security policies for badges, access, and attire.
• Greet and assist visitors and employees in a friendly, professional manner.
• Direct visitors and deliveries to correct destinations and ensure routes do not block others.
• Maintain logs and prepare reports for on-duty personnel.
• Escort Emergency Services to appropriate destinations when needed.
• Perform site checks and roving patrols; participate in quarterly training programs.
