Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Freight Handler for our distribution center. You will help move pallets, break down product, and ensure pallets are configured correctly. Training is provided.

Shifts run Sunday through Thursday, starting at 6:00 AM, with overtime as needed. You must read, write and communicate in English, and be able to work in cold or hot environments. No prior warehouse experience is required, and we train you.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• No prior warehouse experience required; training provided.
• Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification must be obtained upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Breaks down pallets to correct height and width as per ti/hi sheet.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto pallets.
• Ensure damaged product is not received and pallets are secure.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and adhere to safety procedures.
