Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Concord, NC is seeking a Freight Handler to support warehouse operations. You will remove pallets from trailers, break down product, and prepare pallets for storage according to ti/hi specs. Training provided, no prior experience required.

The role requires ability to work Sundays-Thursday, 6am start, and to work in cold or hot conditions. You will read labels and use RF scanners, with safety as a priority and opportunities for internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina for a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reading and following instructions in English.
• Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Separates inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Breaks down pallets to correct height/width per ti/hi sheet.
• Ensures safe, properly wrapped pallet loads and organized work area.
• Performs housekeeping and adheres to safety regulations.
