Job summary

Gordon Food Service is looking for a Freight Handler/Package Handler on the morning receiving team. You will remove pallets from trailers, break down product for proper pallet configuration, and separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets. Training is provided, and no experience is required.

You must be 18+, able to work holidays and weekends, and in extreme cold or hot conditions. English reading/writing is required, and a drug test plus background check will be performed.

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Successfully pass a drug test and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets of product from trailers and break down product for pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets and check for damaged product.
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets and ensure proper handling during receiving.
