Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely manage receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, RF scanners, and other handling equipment. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols in a cold or controlled environment.

The job involves loading/unloading freight, stacking and organizing pallets, and supporting inventory processes while maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using appropriate forklifts and equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise and pick/assemble orders for shipment.
• Inspect freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation; label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack as directed.
• Operate equipment in compliance with OSHA standards to promote safety.
• Maintain production standards while keeping a clean and orderly work area.
• Assist with inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
