Overview

Pay Rate: $23/hour

Work Hours: The work hours of this position may require flexibility to meet production requirements. Some mandatory overtime may be required, and voluntary overtime may be available. Shift hours: 3PM - 11:30 PM Monday through Friday.

The warehouse worker will operate industrial equipment and forklift trucks to perform all material handling assignments. Must be able to withstand extreme cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Perform operation and safety checks on equipment before use.
• Familiarize with machine capacity and shipping schedules to ensure prompt delivery and prevent equipment shutdowns.
• Remove and stack skids in designated areas.
• Pull, load, and move merchandise safely, completing all relevant documentation.
• Perform cleaning duties at the end of shifts.
• Conduct safety checks on equipment including battery, brakes, lift controls, and computer systems.
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts.
• Follow GMP & Food safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as required or directed.
• Meet production standards and quotas.
• Familiarity with warehouse/distribution facilities.
• Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous forklift operator experience preferred.
• Experience in distribution industry a plus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must lift up to 75 lbs.

Working Conditions/Environment

• Primarily in a warehouse with temperatures from -10 to 45 degrees.
• Requires speaking, reading, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, crouching, lifting, reaching, grasping, bending.
• May require overtime and weekend work.
• Exposure to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment.
• Necessary PPE includes steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, eye protection, gloves.
