Newly hired employees start with a GREAT PAY - PIT Operator pay rate is $24.29 per hour, plus 2nd shift differential. This is an hourly position with outstanding benefits, including vacation and holiday pay. Employees are eligible for five days of vacation after six months of employment.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

• Follow safety processes and procedures; report deviations.
• Operate or assist with machinery used in production.
• Inspect products for quality conformance.
• Monitor equipment and notify of malfunctions.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or with forklifts.
• Count finished products for order completion.
• Mark or tag parts.
• Load and unload items from machines and conveyors.
• Assist production workers with less skilled tasks.
• Clean and lubricate equipment.
• Record production data and equipment readings.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience required.
• Experience in a foundry or operating industrial trucks preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of production, processing, and mechanical systems.
• Skills in operation monitoring, reading comprehension, problem solving, and critical thinking.
• Ability to operate warehouse management apps via tablet.
• Physical abilities include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and working in high temperatures or humidity.
