Job summary

ofi North America (Olam Food Ingredients) is seeking a forklift operator for an onsite warehouse role. Primary duties include operating forklifts, using an RF scanner, and supporting multiple departments as needed.

  • Stack totes and pallets and assist other departments as needed.

Position Summary

ofi values in-person collaboration with colleagues – this is a fully onsite position where employees are expected to work their specific work schedule onsite. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. Primary work is in the warehouse, but work locations and assignments can change.

What You’ll Do - Position Responsibilities
  • Forklift experience, license not required
  • Ability to follow safe forklift driving rules and regulations
  • Ability to work in a changing environment
  • Ability to work outdoors/indoors, in hot/cold, noisy, and dusty environments
  • Ability to use an RF scanner, required
  • Ability to enter and back out of tight spaces
  • Ability to stack 1000+ totes from 4 to 5 high
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and 12 hour shifts
  • Must be able to work in other departments and do other tasks as needed
Experience You’ll Bring – Role Requirements
  • Must be able to recognize safety hazards
  • Must have the ability to learn computer skills
  • Ability to drive forklifts with past experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to fill out required paperwork on a daily basis, good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds routinely
  • Ability to learn at a fast pace and keep up with any and all changes that occur in the plant
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Must be able to twist and turn frequently while working
  • Must be able to stand and work for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to work from heights while wearing a safety harness
  • Must be able to work in changing weather conditions – heat/cold
  • Ability to routinely lift and stack 55+/- pound bags and boxes
  • Ability to routinely palletize 200+ pound drums
  • Understand and follow instructions
  • Understand and follow all Food Safety & Sanitation rules

Pay

The pay for this role ranges from $16.01 per hour and is based on position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or other determining factors.
