Position Summary

Reporting to the production supervisor, the production forklift driver will be responsible for assisting in daily production needs to include general labor activities as well.

Position Responsibilities
  • Ability to recognize safety hazards
  • Ability to learn computer skills
  • Drive forklifts with past experience
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fill out required paperwork on a daily basis, good verbal and written communication skills
  • Lift up to 55 pounds routinely
  • Learn at a fast pace and keep up with any and all changes that occur in the plan
  • Must have basic math skills
Position Requirements
  • Forklift experience, license not required
  • Follow safe forklift driving rules and regulations
  • Work in a changing environment
  • Work outdoors/indoors, in hot/cold, noisy, and dusty environments
  • Enter and back out of tight spaces
  • Must be able to work some weekends as needed and up to a 12-hour shift
  • Ability to work in other departments and do other tasks as needed
  • Physical Demands
  • Twist and turn frequently while working
  • Stand and work for prolonged periodsWork from heights while wearing a safety harness
  • Ability to work in changing weather conditions – heat/cold
  • Routinely lift and stack 55+/- pound bags and boxes
  • Understand and follow instructions
  • Understand and follow all Food Safety & Sanitation rules
