Signature Retail Services in Lithonia, GA is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Associate to operate a sit-down forklift, unload inbound lumber shipments, inspect products for quality, and prepare items for delivery. This full-time role supports daily warehouse operations both indoors and in the lumber yard.

The position requires 5+ years of forklift experience (or willingness to certify), the ability to lift 50+ lbs, and a 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload and receive inbound shipments using a sit-down forklift or manual methods.
• Inspect lumber shipments to ensure quality and document discrepancies before outbound shipments.
• Prepare and submit detailed daily activity and quality inspection reports.
• Safely palletize, stage, and manage inventory with forklift or cherry picker.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management to ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform minor packaging repairs to maintain presentation and quality.

Warehouse Forklift Associate – 1st Shift

Pay Range: $21.00–$23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position: Full-Time, Variable hour
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Join Signature Retail Services as a Warehouse Forklift Associate and put your forklift, warehouse, and quality inspection experience to work with the SRS team! This full-time position offers a Monday– Friday, 8:00 AM– 5:00 PM schedule, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work independently while supporting daily warehouse operations.

In this role, you'll work with the SRS and facility teams to operate a forklift, inspect lumber shipments, load and unload products, manage inventory and reporting to prepare materials for delivery. You'll work both inside the warehouse and in the outside lumber yard, while helping ensure products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. Position Responsibilities:

• Safely unload and receive inbound shipments of lumber products and building materials using a sit-down forklift or manual methods.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all products meet quality standards, documenting findings and addressing any discrepancies before preparing items for outbound shipment to local stores.
• Prepare and submit detailed daily reports summarizing activities, quality inspection results, and any relevant observations.
• Safely palletize, stage, and manage inventory by performing up-stocking and down-stocking tasks utilizing a forklift or cherry picker.
• Operate independently while maintaining effective communication with warehouse associates and management to ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform minor repairs on product packaging to maintain presentation and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21+ years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and have a reliable personal vehicle.
• 5+ years experience operating a forklift and order picker, or the willingness to obtain certification.
• A Smartphone with internet access and the ability for communication and reporting purposes.
• Possess basic tools and equipment necessary to perform job duties, including work gloves, a tape measure, box cutter, and standard hand tools.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced indoor/outdoor warehouse environments.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the facility and SRS teams.
• Dependable attendance to consistently work the scheduled 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Monday–Friday shift.
• This is a physically active role that involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and remaining active throughout overnight shifts
• Perform regular lifting, moving, and handling of lumber products, equipment, or materials weighing up to 50+ lbs.
