Signature Retail Services in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a full-time Warehouse Forklift Associate. You will safely unload and receive inbound shipments, inspect products for quality, and prepare items for outbound delivery to local stores.

The role requires operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in indoor and outdoor conditions. You’ll file daily activity and inspection reports, coordinate with warehouse staff, and help with minor packaging repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and reliable vehicle.
• 5+ years’ forklift and order picker experience or willingness to certify.
• Smartphone with internet access and ability to text/email.
• Tools and equipment: gloves, tape measure, box cutter, standard hand tools.
• Physically active role: standing, lifting, and overnight shifts.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors, in fast-paced remodel environments.

Responsibilities

Join Signature Retail Services as a full-time Warehouse Forklift Associate in Bedford Park, IL!

In this vital role, you'll help ensure our client's lumber products meet quality standards before they leave the warehouse and make their way to retail locations. This is a full-time, hands-on position that involves working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

You'll work closely with the facility manager to inspect inbound and outbound shipments, complete minor packaging repairs as needed, and document and report your findings through an online reporting system. Pay Rate:$21- $23/ hour, depending on experience.
Shift Schedule:Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm

Position Responsibilities:

• Safely unload and receive inbound shipments of lumber products and building materials using a sit-down forklift or manual methods.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all products meet quality standards, documenting findings and addressing any discrepancies before preparing items for outbound shipment to local stores.
• Prepare and submit detailed daily reports summarizing activities, quality inspection results, and any relevant observations.
• Safely palletize, stage, and manage inventory by performing up-stocking and down-stocking tasks utilizing a forklift or cherry picker.
• Operate independently while maintaining effective communication with warehouse associates and management to ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform minor repairs on product packaging to maintain presentation and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21+ years of age or older.
• A Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and have a reliable personal vehicle.
• 5+ year's experience operating a forklift and order picker, or the willingness to obtain certification.
• A Smartphone with internet access and the ability to send/receive texts and emails.
• Possessbasic tools and equipment necessary to perform job duties, including work gloves, a tape measure, box cutter, and standard hand tools.
• This is a physically active role that involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and remaining active throughout overnight shifts
• Regular lifting, moving, and handling of products, fixtures, and materials up to 50+ lbs.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced remodel environments with overnight project schedules.
• Ability to work effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments.
