Job summary

Cardinal Staffing Services is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a warehouse and distribution facility in Whitehouse, OH. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, completing building repairs, and keeping facility operations running smoothly.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with pay ranging from $26.00 to $29.00 per hour and temp-to-hire employment. Overtime may be required, including Sundays during peak seasons or deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or general maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and routine facility inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues, including lighting, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs, painting, touch-ups, and minor carpentry work.
• Inspect roofs, gutters, and drainage systems for leaks, damage, or maintenance needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Identify potential maintenance issues and address them before they affect operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
• Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts.
• Conduct facility safety inspections and report hazards or major repair needs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and operational needs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance and facility areas.
