Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Warehouse Equipment Technician to maintain and repair warehouse tools and machinery such as pallet jacks, highlifts, and forklifts in California. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, six months of mechanic experience, and welding ability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• At least 6 months of mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; able to repair/overhaul warehouse equipment; welding ability; read/write; follow orders; basic math; work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, highlifts, forklifts, etc.) to keep day and night operations running.
• Review equipment reports from warehouse staff; log actions taken and maintain repair log.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and document PM logs per policy.
• Follow safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, documentation).
• Maintain battery-charging area, batteries, and related equipment.
• Manage company tools and maintenance equipment; inventory control and secure storage.
• If needed, purchase tools and equipment locally to perform duties.
• Perform light maintenance tasks (bulbs, painting, rack repairs, light plumbing, etc.).
