Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. in California is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure the proper operation and upkeep of rolling stock, machinery and facility equipment in a warehouse environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• The minimum educational background is a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED). Some technical schooling and/or related training is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of related experience is required. Experience in repairs and preventative maintenance on powered industrial equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair rolling stock, material handling equipment such as forklifts and warehouse equipment such as picking carousels, conveyors, shrink-wrap machines and inventory racks.
• Perform repair and maintenance duties to the interior and exterior building structure including electricity, plumbing, framing, roofing, painting, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance of rolling stock and equipment as required.
• Observe and promote established safety procedures.
