Job summary

Desert Lumber and Building Materials, a Desert Companies division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking a Mechanic to maintain and repair warehouse equipment including forklifts and trucks. The role involves preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs as directed by supervision, with attention to safety and record-keeping.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED and some experience with warehouse maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional training may be helpful.
• Maintenance experience with warehouse equipment is preferred.
• DL required; CDL preferred; forklift certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs as directed.
• Repair equipment per manufacturer specs and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain equipment records neatly and orderly.
• Assist in building maintenance tasks and other duties as needed.
• Train associates in warehouse equipment repair.
• Adhere to attendance policy and safety standards.
