Summary

Under direct supervision, the Warehouse Driver operates a company vehicle to pick up and deliver local orders and equipment. This role arranges the most efficient route and provides warehouse support at the branch location as needed.

Job Duties

1. Operate the company vehicle to pick up and deliver local orders and equipment.
2. Sort assignments and plan the most efficient route.
3. Maintain Vendor Managed Inventory programs at customer locations.
4. Organize products in reverse delivery order and load the delivery vehicle.
5. Unload products at customer locations and obtain customer signatures on packing slips as proof of delivery.
6. Determine items to be picked, checked, and shipped from sales orders.
7. Prepare items for delivery to customers.
8. Secure packages to prevent damage during shipping.
9. Assist with restocking products on shelves if needed.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED typically required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret packing slips and delivery instructions.
• Ability to document information obtained during delivery.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

Must be able to move up to 100 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver’s license and annual review of driving record.
• Road test required upon hire.
• Internal training and certifications upon hire.
• Medical Card / DOT Physical.
• May require safety certifications for specific customers.
