Warehouse Driver

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 / hour
Description
As part of our warehouse and delivery teams, this person will use hand trucks and forklifts to load and unload delivery vehicles and deliver material to our local manufacturing facility. They will accurately keep records of all inventory, both received and delivered, and observe safe workplace rules and guidelines when unloading and transporting cargo. This is a physically demanding position, meaning our ideal candidate is able to lift and move heavy containers, in addition to possessing a valid driver's license, forklift operator's certification, and experience with warehouse inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload box trucks and other vehicles
Use forklift to move pallets and large items from warehouse to staging areas and onto truck, plus offload at manufacturing site and deliver to staging areas
Monitor and replenish Kanban part numbers at both sites
Keep accurate records of items shipped and received
Safely drive trucks to delivery locations and unload goods
Route management – follow assigned routes and timetables, making efficient stops and deliveries
Perform routine maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle and report any issues
Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking and packing orders, and unpacking goods
Must possess good communication skills for interacting with warehouse staff and production personnel
Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Must have good problem-solving skills, able to identify and resolve issues that may arise during deliveries
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience loading and unloading in a warehouse environment
Forklift certification and experience
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no CDL required)
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items throughout a normal shift
Experience with warehouse inventory management
