Job summary

Power-Flo Technologies Rochester is hiring a Warehouse Associate/Back Up Driver for a full-time, Monday–Friday position in Rochester, NY. The role includes warehouse tasks and backing up the delivery driver as needed.

Salary ranges from $16 to $20 per hour plus benefits. Benefits include health, dental and vision, PTO, holidays, 401K, ESOP, EAP, and overtime opportunities. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• Valid NYS driver’s license with 7 years of clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain & maintain DOT certification.
• Follow processes, procedures, and policies.
• Verbal and written English communication.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Box Truck (16-18 ft) and flatbed experience is a plus; No CDL.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic warehouse tasks: remove sold parts from stock, place received parts on shelves, process items for shipment, receive, drive, organize.
• Pull and stage orders for shipment.
• Organize inventory.
• Maintain a valid Driver's License to back up the driver when needed.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle.
• Plan daily delivery routes for efficiency.
• Obey traffic laws and parking regulations.
• Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver orders.

Warehouse Associate/Back Up Driver Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic warehouse work to include, removing sold parts from stock, placing received parts on shelves, processing items for shipment, receiving, driving, organizing etc.


• Pull and stage orders for shipment


• Organize Inventory


• Maintain a clean Driver's License to operate company vehicles (to act as the back up driver on an as needed basis)


• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle


• Plan delivery route to maximize efficiency and productivity for the day


• Obey all traffic laws and parking regulations


• Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver orders

Warehouse Associate/Back Up Driver Requirements

• 2+ years of warehouse experience required


• Current, valid, and clean NYS driver’s license (7 years' clean driving record) to operate company vehicles


• Ability to obtain & maintain DOT certification


• Ability to follow processes, procedures, and policies


• Ability to work well both independently and on a team and be willing to learn


• Ability to communicate in verbal and written from with functional English skills


• Excellent organizational and time management skills


• Box Truck experience (16-18 ft) and Flatbed truck experience is a plus. No CDL required.


• Forklift experience a plus


• Industry experience preferred

Warehouse Group Physical Requirements

• Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time


• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull over 100 pounds


• Ability to work on elevated platforms


• Ability to climb ladders


• This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching


• You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions


• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
