Job summary

Hammond Services in Austell, GA is seeking a dependable delivery and warehouse associate to support HVAC, electrical and plumbing projects. You will transport materials between the warehouse, job sites, and vendors, load and unload, and help with staging.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and willingness to participate in on-call rotation. Training in Griffin office lasts up to six weeks.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse or delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Good safety awareness and punctuality.
• Able to work flexible hours and on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials, equipment, and supplies between the warehouse, job sites, and vendors.
• Ensure deliveries are accurate, timely, and properly documented.
• Load and unload materials; secure and protect items during transport.
• Assist with pulling, staging, and loading materials for HVAC, Electrical and plumbing jobs.
• Pick up and return parts/equipment from vendors as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and assist with basic vehicle upkeep.
• Support warehouse operations including stocking, inventory management, and material handling.
• Assist warehouse team and field personnel as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, yard, and work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

This position will require travel to our Griffin office for on-the-job training (up to 6 weeks).**

Work Hours:

• Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.During assignedrotating on-call weeks, the work schedule shifts to8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.,with requiredafter-hours response dutiesMonday-Sunday.

What You’ll Do:

• Safely transport materials, equipment, and supplies between the warehouse, job sites, and vendors

• Load and unload materials, ensuring items are secured and protected during transport
• Assist with pulling, staging, and loading materials for HVAC, Electrical and plumbing jobs

• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring:

• Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points
• Must be 22+ years of age (to be insured by the company)
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience for a company (insurance requirement)
• Clean driving record and strong safety awareness
• Prior warehouse or delivery experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to work required hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed
• Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Basic computer proficiency
• Familiarity with Austell and surrounding areas
