Job summary

Watsco is seeking a Driver/Warehouse Associate in Winterville, NC to handle daily deliveries and inventory duties for HVAC products. You will load, unload, stock, and verify orders, while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a safe, orderly warehouse environment.

The role requires forklift experience (preferred) and a 21+ driver with knowledge of LTL/logistics. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional extra hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of verifiable experience driving a 16’ minimum box truck or stake bed truck.

Responsibilities

• Daily loading/unloading of products and stocking merchandise.
• Deliver and transport HVAC freight to customers; prepare orders for shipment.
• Check invoices, verify items received vs. orders, and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Operate forklift and maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness.
• Read and process customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE; support inventory control.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily loading and unloading of products.
• Assist with delivering and transporting HVAC freight and materials to customers.
• Receive, inspect and stock all merchandise.
• Verify all items received to items ordered for accuracy.
• Pick and verify orders for customers and prepare orders for shipment as needed.
• Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
• Responsible for daily checklist of truck and forklift maintenance and reporting in/out times with merchandise returns.
• Appropriate use and maintenance of OF device.
• Assist with physical inventory and inventory control.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Provide excellent customer service to external customers.
• Ensure grounds and warehouse are kept neat, orderly, and safe for employees and customer traffic.
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL Class B license preferred (except when required in certain states)
• 6 months of Warehouse experience including forklift operation.
• Knowledge of HVAC and truckload logistics is a plus.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion.
