Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years forklift experience, and be able to work overtime and travel up to a small degree as needed. U.S. Person status is required.

• Participate in floor safety review

• Assist Dock operations as needed

This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Defense Production Facility in Concord, North Carolina on a full-time basis (1st Shift, 4-10's Monday-Thursday). This role requires flexibility to support changes in scheduled days, hours, and shift based on business needs.

The Role

The Warehouse Distribution Associate plays a critical role in supporting production operations at the GM Defense Production Facility by ensuring materials are accurately stored, staged, and delivered to the point of use. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory flow across DLOCs, kit cells, and ULOCs, supporting build schedules, and helping ensure materials are available to meet production requirements. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while partnering closely with production, material flow, and leadership teams to support daily operations.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Forklift Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving Forklift trucks in a manufacturing/warehouse environment or related skillset.
• Ability to work over-time, weekends, holidays, etc. as needed.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee).

Physical Requirements

• Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals are a must
• Drive vehicles and equipment when needed
• Comfortably wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
• Navigate a busy warehouse
• Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach
• May need to lift or carry materials weighing up to 40 lbs. depending on department
