Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a warehouse coordinator to oversee daily warehouse activities, including order fulfillment and deliveries, and to ensure accuracy of shipments against invoices. You will set up and install office furniture for customers and inspect merchandise against purchase orders.

The role requires coordinating with the Branch Manager to maintain inventory for prompt delivery, handling shortages, and overseeing warehouse safety compliance. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience.
• Degree preferred, but not required in lieu of experience.
• Must be computer literate, with a working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Maintains a valid Driver’s License
• Must be insurable
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds
• Ability to meet the physical demands of standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with moderate noise and limited exposure to physical risk

Responsibilities

• Coordinate warehouse activities, including filling orders and delivering orders
• Set up and install office furniture and customer office equipment
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer shipments using invoices
• Receive and physically inspect merchandise against purchase orders
• Coordinate with the Branch Manager to ensure adequate inventory is available for prompt customer deliveries, including short-pickup purchases
• Manage deliveries related to shortages or mistakes on original scheduled deliveries
• Prepare warehouse inventory and process returns
• Oversee warehouse maintenance and safekeeping
• Maintain warehouse compliance with Federal, State, and local regulatory safety, labor, workers’ compensation, and health requirements
• Participate in development of the Division’s Profit Sharing Program/Reporting system
• Perform special cost studies as required, including delivery and labor sorting
• Control labor costs
• Work with the Office Manager to ensure proper inventories are ordered and available for prompt delivery to customers
• Report to the All Native Branch Manager
