Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or 5+ years of experience in a material handling or logistics function.
  • Experience in evaluating and planning inventory and storage of materials.
  • Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Description

Solid Power is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to join our talented team of engineers and scientists working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next‑generation, all solid‑state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast‑paced, collaborative and innovative team environment. The preferred candidate will have hands‑on experience in shipping and receiving dock management, operation of Kanban inventory systems, and general warehouse management. Experience with hazmat and heavy material handling equipment is also preferred. This position is critical in assuring accurate and efficient material flow through the facility, and in coordinating with purchasing to assure appropriate inventory supply and replenishment. This role will also be critical in the administration functions of document control and vendor performance tracking.

Job Duties
Receiving
  • Physically assist carriers with package offload for LTL or parcel shipments.
  • Inspect inbound shipments for damage and verify part numbers and quantity per the packing slip and purchase order.
  • Assure all required vendor documentation is present with the shipment.
  • Timely and accurate receipt and put away of POs in ERP system, including saving all relevant shipment documents.
  • Identify items that require quality inspection and label properly.
  • Utilization of Kanban system for items received.
  • Identify hazardous materials that require special storage, place into correct stocking locations immediately upon receipt.
  • Correct physical stocking of materials and/or delivery to Purchase Requisitioner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock.
  • Oversee Uniform Deliveries & pickup.
  • Weekly paper restock for office supplies areas.
  • Oversee that Dock Rules are enforced daily.
  • Monitor stock pull locations in R&D, production dry room, and assembly area and replenish material as needed.
  • Correctly utilize Kanban system when items are pulled.
  • Pull Raw Materials for Production.
  • Pallet breakdown and disposal.
  • VMI assistance.
Shipping
  • Package outbound LTL or parcel shipments for safe transport.
  • Ability to comply with Dangerous Goods shipping regulations.
  • Schedule carriers for interdepartmental and outbound shipments.
  • Physically assisting carriers with LTL or parcel shipment loading.
  • Daily forklift inspections on all units.
  • Placing Purchase Requisitions as needed, correctly utilizing Kanban system.
  • Saving all shipping paperwork for Trade Compliance.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent and/or 5+ years of experience in a material handling or logistics function.
  • Experience in evaluating and planning inventory and storage of materials in support of a manufacturing organization.
  • Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Familiarity with a variety of logistics providers and their platforms.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.
  • Hazmat or other regulated shipping experience is a plus.
  • IATA/49-CFR certification is a plus.
  • Rapid learner and self‑motivated who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative start‑up environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on‑site at the Louisville, Colorado facility.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to learn and perform precise operation of pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, half or full‑face respirator or PAPR.

Hourly Range: $24.00 - $30.00/hour
