Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Team Member I in Denver to accurately complete distribution center tasks using RF barcode scanning, WMS systems, and various handling equipment. You will load/unload batteries, restock inventory, and maintain safety standards.

The role requires good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Training will be provided, with potential overtime and a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Ability to learn applicable warehouse systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process receiving, transfer, pick, pack and ship transactions.
• Load and unload batteries and restock as needed.
• Tag pallets for transfer, pick and ship operations.
• Operate forklift and maintain current certification.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Maintain warehouse reporting and claims accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.

Job description

Warehouse Team Member I

Purpose: The Warehouse Team Member I has the ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment (electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts), WMS applications, and other shipping applications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management

Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• No experience required; experience in warehouse operations preferred (including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment)
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and well organized

Work Environment

• Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
• Consistent walking or walking during shift
• Repetitive taping of boxes
• Overtime required as deemed necessary
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
• Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals

Compensation

Salary: $15 – $24 per hour
