Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator

Department: Inventory

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Effective Date: 5/5/2025

Location Update: This role will begin at our Fort Montgomery, NY facility. We are planning to relocate operations to Middletown, NY around the beginning of 2026 (approximately 6-8 months after your start date). Candidates should be comfortable working in Fort Montgomery initially and transitioning to Middletown once the move is finalized.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling. This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt, organization, and dispatch of goods to support production demands and operational needs. The Warehouse Coordinator must work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to safety standards, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage physical tasks such as standing, crouching, and lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the shift.

Important Notice Regarding Work Location: The initial work location for this position will be at our facility in Fort Montgomery, NY. Please note that our operations are scheduled to relocate to Middletown, NY in early 2026. Candidates must be willing and able to work in Fort Montgomery for approximately 6-8 months following their start date, and transition to the Middletown location once the move is complete.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Inventory Control & Organization:
    • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy of quantities and items delivered.
    • Organize materials in the warehouse to ensure easy accessibility and proper storage, optimizing space usage.
    • Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is available for production, and proactively report potential shortages or overstock issues.
    • Assist with routine inventory audits and cycle counts, ensuring the integrity of inventory data.
  • Material Handling & Equipment Operation:
    • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and company vehicles to move materials to and from storage areas.
    • Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects, reporting any issues to supervisors and adjusting inventory accordingly.
    • Stage materials for production or dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment of production requests or customer orders.
  • Documentation & Recordkeeping:
    • Review and confirm material information, ensuring alignment with production orders or Bills of Lading.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including receiving, storing, and shipping of materials.
    • Prepare documentation for the fulfillment of internal requests, ensuring accurate tracking of orders and inventory adjustments.
  • Warehouse Maintenance & Safety:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
    • Regularly inspect warehouse equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with warehouse staff, production teams, and the Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless operations.
    • Communicate any potential inventory or operational issues promptly to the Warehouse Manager.

Current Schedules Available

Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in handling and documenting inventory and shipments.
  • Communication Skills: Effective interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and provide timely updates to supervisors.
  • Technical Competency: Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer functions.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of warehouse safety standards, including material handling and equipment operation.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of Marijuana laws, rules, and regulations set forth by the state

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid In-state Driver's License required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, inventory management, or fulfillment environment.
  • 1+ years of forklift operation experience; certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in operating a straight truck is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, crouch, and lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted throughout a standard workday.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a warehouse environment.
  • Capability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Experience Driving a Straight Truck a Plus!
