The Town of Clayton is seeking applicants for a Warehouse Coordinator for the Town's Central Warehouse. This role involves the efficient management of the Town's Central Warehouse, encompassing routine and special deliveries of supplies, materials, and equipment. The position is responsible for optimizing storage space and ensuring the safekeeping of goods. Collaboration with various departments is crucial to maintaining correct inventory levels in department vehicles. The role includes documenting receipt of items into an automated purchasing system (City Works) with a focus on fixed asset, receipt, and inventory control. The individual analyzes inventory movement, suggests reorder points, and coordinates with vendors for quotes. Additionally, the role entails conducting periodic physical inventories, operating warehouse equipment and vehicles, serving walk-in customers, and managing the inventory and disposition of surplus property. Phone inquiries and requests are promptly addressed, and shipments are inspected to identify and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies. The position encompasses a range of duties aimed at ensuring efficient warehouse operations and fulfilling similar tasks as assigned.
