Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics in the USA Chester area is seeking a Facility Assistant to maintain warehouse cleanliness and operate a floor scrubber and ride-on sweeper. The role supports daily housekeeping duties across the facility.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, English communication, and basic math; PIT operation experience is preferred and certification may be required within 90 days of hire. Work hours are 5 days/week, 8 hours/day with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English and have basic math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PIT operation experience preferred; certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor cleanliness using brooms, mops, shop vac and floor scrubbers.
• Follow sanitation checklists and work orders for cleaning and supply maintenance.
• Follow Safety Data Sheets and use chemicals with proper PPE.
• Perform pre-work inspection on tools, materials and equipment.
• Empty waste/recyclables into dumpsters for disposal.
• Load plastics and cardboard materials into the proper dumpster.
• Identify areas needing maintenance or cleaning by visual inspection.
• Lock and unlock warehouse doors as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet DSV objectives.
