Job summary

Staples is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Kansas City, MO. The role encompasses operating material handling equipment, maintaining safety, and supporting receiving, replenishment, and shipping across multiple warehouse areas.

You may be assigned to six possible areas and will be moved as needed to meet business demands. The job emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Overtime hours may be required for full-time associates.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• Able to lift/push/pull boxes weighing 70–100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment to pick and move products up to 100 lbs.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow safety procedures.
• Assist in receiving, putaway, and returns processing.
• Support shipping by organizing and packing customer orders.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors to resolve issues.
• Be flexible to work across multiple warehouse roles as needed.
