Job summary

Edward Don & Company in The Colony, TX seeks a full-time warehouse associate to receive, stock, prepare and ship merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. You will accurately pick merchandise from assigned slots and confirm quantities, then load it for shipment and manage reserve/pick slots.

The role requires forklift/pallet jack operation, RF handheld scanning, and the ability to lift 40–60 pounds repeatedly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, prepare and ship merchandise to customers.
• Accurately pick merchandise from slots and verify quantity and unit.
• Load merchandise into trucks and reserve/pick slots as needed.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment via freight lines.
• Repack loose items for shipping/delivery and inspect packaging quality.
• Follow vendor compliance and warehouse labor standards.
• Identify and report slot/put-away problems and keep work area clean.

$21.95 + .75 shift differential

Sun-Thu 6:00pm - 3:00am or finished, up to 4 hours/day OT mandatory

Summary

Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
• Performs house keeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment.
• Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment.
• This is a full-time position.
• Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.
• Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements.
• The position does not require travel.
