Job summary

Edward Don & Company is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, stock, prep, and ship merchandise locally and to outlying areas. Pay is $24.46/hour with a Sun-Thu 6p-10p schedule. The role involves forklift operation, RF/Voice pick devices, and lifting 40-60 pounds repeatedly.

Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, SAP knowledge, forklift certification, and 6 months of warehouse experience. This full-time position requires flexibility in shifts and no travel.

Summary

Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.

$24.46/hour

Sun-Thu 6p-10p

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

The ideal Candidate will have the ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift, ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time; ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements; and ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.

Essential Duties

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.
• Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
• Performs house keeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Preferred qualifications are: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous knowledge of SAP, one year warehouse experience and previous forklift certification.

Experience

• 6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience a plus.

Requirement

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.

• This is a full-time position.
