Job summary

Amarillo ISD in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Warehouse Receiving and Distribution assistant to support daily operations. You will help with receiving, delivery, and surplus processes, resolve discrepancies, and keep track of items in the Warehouse for efficient distribution.

You may assist in furniture moves, assembly, and related tasks across district facilities. Strong customer service and communication required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education/Certification: High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• Valid drivers license

Responsibilities

• Solve exceptions to receiving - any exception to the routine receipt of product for distribution to campuses that must be researched with vendors, campuses, Purchasing or Accounts Payable. Requires a high level of problem-solving skills.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify quantities, condition, delivery documentation, in accordance with the Purchase Order.
• Maintain accurate receiving, delivery, transfer, and surplus records related to the Warehouse
• Actively participate in the daily physical work of the Receiving and Distribution department, including loading, unloading, receiving, moving, delivering, assembling, or relocating items
• Assist with furniture and equipment moves throughout the District facilities.
• Assist with assembling furniture that is shipped to the Warehouse.
• Facilitate the process of selling no longer needed equipment through Public Surplus.
• Monitor progress of auction and answering question of bidders.
• Data entry of all deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned by Receiving and Distribution Manager
