Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Laurel, MD is seeking a warehouse associate to hand-build pallets and load products onto trailers following safety and quality standards. You will read pick sheets, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, label products, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting productivity targets and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads pick sheets and travels to locations using a pallet jack.
• Picks product types and quantities, labels, pallets, and loads onto trucks per standards.
• Handles products safely per food safety procedures; checks for damages and cross-contamination.
• Maintains clean and safe warehouse; reports spills and damaged cases.
• Communicates issues to management and follows safety rules.
• Operates forklift and pallet jack safely; reports equipment issues.
• Completes paperwork and uses wearable computer to track time for productivity.
• Maintains regular attendance and may work overtime.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
