Job summary

Sysco is seeking a warehouse associate to accurately select products for shipping. You will read customer orders, assemble stock onto pallets in the proper sequence, and attach labels to products.

The role requires safe operation of an electric pallet jack and adherence to GMP and SQF policies. You will work under supervision, maintain a clean and safe environment, perform daily equipment checks, and report any damages.

Qualifications

• Education: High school education or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs; 20 lbs regularly is required.

Responsibilities

• Read customer order from label screen and select product by slot & description.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
• Attach labels on product.
• Operate an electric pallet jack to proceed to correct slot location and transport product to dock area for staging.
• Handle products with necessary care to limit damage.
• Report any damage of merchandise, equipment or facility to a supervisor.
• Perform daily equipment checks.
• Assist in clean-up of the facility and sign off on daily cleaning area that the supervisor may assign.
• Sign in and out for all equipment when used by the associate.
• Use basic communication skills to understand work systems, instructions, etc.
• Adhere to GMP, personal hygiene, and SQF policies as described in the training manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
