Job summary

AFCO Distribution & Milling, a division of Skagit Farmers Supply, is seeking a full-time warehouse associate in Lacey, WA to join our on-site team. You will pick, load, unload, stock, and prepare shipments, while upholding safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Shifts typically 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with some evenings/weekends. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, plus benefits after meeting eligibility.

Responsibilities

AFCO Distribution & Milling is a division of Skagit Farmers Supply, a diversified agricultural supply cooperative.
Skagit Farmers Supply, based in Burlington, WA, has been in business since 1934, and continues to grow and
adapt to meet the needs of the farmers, homeowners, businesses, families, and communities in the Pacific
Northwest. The company operates Agronomy, Propane, Refined Fuels and Wholesale divisions as well as ten
retail Country Store locations in Washington & Montana. Our commitment is to provide quality products and
services to our customers and community partners.

AFCO serves over 800 retail customers. The company distributes products such as animal feed, wildlife products,
pet food and supplies, fencing and livestock equipment. Customers receive weekly orders within routed
territories. Delivery is provided by AFCO’s fleet of company trucks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete orders by accurately picking, loading, and unloading products as needed
• Accurately place and store products in accordance with company standards
• Receive inbound deliveries and prepare outbound shipments for distribution to company locations
• Rotate and stock products
• Perform inventory maintenance activities
• Safely operate vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Maintain general upkeep and housekeeping of the warehouse and surrounding area while adhering to OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations
• Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes, and continuously develop skills
• Collaborate, communicate well, and effectively relay information with an emphasis on positive professional relationships
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend and stoop frequently
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse and/or retail setting, or understanding of shipping/receiving processes
• Product knowledge in one or more of: feed, seed, or pet food & supplies
• Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment
• Proficiency using Windows-based computer software, including (but not limited to) Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Schedule

Full-time, onsite position based in Lacey, WA. 40 hours per week. Shifts will generally be scheduled between 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

$20.00 – $25.00/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
