Job summary

AFCO Distribution Mill in Burlington, WA is seeking a full-time production worker to manufacture, inspect, mix, grind, and package feed products in a fast-paced environment. You will operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts, while maintaining clean, safe work areas and accurate labeling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver license and safe driving record preferred.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and stand for long periods on a bagging line.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, inspect, mix, grind, and package feed products.

• Accurately blend ingredients per recipe cards and ensure proper labeling.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and climb ladders.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods while working on a bagging line.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of being safe, dependable and reliable.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. The mill typically operates Monday through Thursday on ten-hour shifts. Must be available to work evening and/or weekends as needed.

$19 - $23/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:

*100% employer-paid for employee coverage. **Two to six weeks annually, depending on the length of full-time service.
