Job summary

DCM Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage inventory, receive and store shipments, and maintain accurate counts in our ERP system within a fast-paced cannabis production facility.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and compliance with SOPs and safety policies. On-site 5 days a week; inclusive of varied temperatures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail required for plant life cycle.
• Must be able to work in a team and follow SOPs.
• Adherence to HR policies including confidentiality and NDA.
• Maintain open communication with management and coworkers.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• No allergies to plant materials; daily exposure to cannabis plants and nitrile gloves.
• Willingness to comply with all safety and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Receive, count in, and store shipments; log into ERP.
• Maintain stock of supplies and notify when low.
• Tag incoming skids with inventory counts.
• Assist in vault audits as required.
• Log purchase orders and receipts in ERP; communicate receipts to Inventory Manager.
• Issue inventory to departments as needed.
• Conduct weekly inventory checks of disposable items.
• Perform monthly inventory of packaging materials on site.
• Coordinate internal and external deliveries as assigned.
• Support other departments as production schedules allow.

The shift for this role is Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm

Warehouse Associate

Our Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the tracking and storage of all shipments. In addition, this Associate will maintain inventory counts on all items using our ERP system.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Responsible for following all standard operating procedures (SOP) operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
• Receive, count in, and manually store all shipments as appropriate.
• Maintain adequate stock of all necessary supplies for the departments on-site and notify manager when supply is low.
• Tag all incoming skids with inventory count tag.
• Assist in vault audits as required.
• Digitally log purchase orders and receipts in ERP system.
• Communicate all receipts to the Inventory Manager and hand off packaging slips.
• Issue inventory to departments as needed.
• Audit team inventory of disposable items weekly.
• Complete a monthly inventory count of all packaging materials on site.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of loading dock and soft goods storage areas.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external deliveries as assigned.
• Assist Inventory Associates with vault related tasks as deemed necessary.
• Complete all daily duties on time and willing to accept additional job duties and responsibilities.
• Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers about daily production output.
• Flex to other departments to assist as needed and allowed within the production schedule.
• Must be comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures from 55°-85°.

All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

• For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
• You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
• We ask that you have a clean driving record.
• We ask that you have at least one (1) year of related experience.

Work Schedule/Location:

• On-site 5 days a week.

• This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 80lbs assisted.
• This position is similar to an assembly line, in that it will be completing repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
• This position requires the ability to work in a cannabis growing facility, there will be strong odors, bright lights, and various noises throughout the workday.
• This position will require PPE to be worn throughout the workday to include scrubs, masks, gloves, and hairnets while working with the plants. DCM will provide scrubs, gloves, and hair nets to all employees.
